How
Might We...

3. Pain Points & How Might We
We transferred the pain points to the core questions we wanted to dive deeper into through affinity mapping.

Affinity Mapping
1. Stakeholders Interview
We commenced with stakeholder interviews and a card game to obtain insights from stakeholders.

How might we...
How might we design a gamified competition-based wellness experience that is engaging, accessible, and intuitive?

What we want to focus on
Homepage experience with two key features (leaderboard & quick view)
2. Long-Term Goals & Sprint Questions
With the above insights, we discussed long-term goals and sprint questions and voted for a collective decision.
1. Persona & Storyboarding
Based on our insights, we created two personas and integrated storyboards into a structured user flow.

2. Key Insights
We need to comprehend the feel and touchpoints throughout the experience from the users' perspective, so mapping out the key insights makes sure no steps drop out.

3. Low Fidelity Wireframes
Optimize and organize the structure, helping users navigate them to find and process the information they find.

1. High Fidelity Wireframes
The primary key to designing a user interface is consistency and keeping it simple, minimal, and easy to use.
2. Usability Test Plan
Following the user flow and information structure, we wrote a usability test plan and reached out to team members for interview sessions.
1. Usability Test
We were lucky to have 4 participants in this section and get some great insights in the shadowing sessions.

Users are the key: The entire design sprint process is user-centered. It builds products and services based on a solid understanding of the user’s wants and needs and asks for feedback and validation directly from them towards the end of the sprint.
Find a better solution through a different lens: People with different backgrounds were gathered together and collaborated toward a better solution, which enabled me to look at the problem from many different perspectives.
Motivation & Gamification: In the process of how to activate users, I had this opportunity to practice incorporating gamification theory into the design decisions.
What did I learn by doing this project?
Homepage
We help users efficiently manage ongoing challenges on the home page by prioritizing them.
The data section allows users to track their health data quickly, and the platform pushes personalized health tips according to the health data, creating a friendly interaction atmosphere for users.

Quick View
We enable users to have a quick view through challenges of interest, and users can easily set reminders when they accept challenges.

Leaderboard & Log activity
Users can cheer on their teammates and check the progress of their challenges. To facilitate users to input synchronous data, we set up multiple entrances for users to use.

Plus, we want to make the product more inclusive and accessible through modification features.

Challenge
Flexible filtering features help users lock-in challenges faster, reducing distraction and obstruction during exploration.

DAY 5 VALIDATE
Rocky is an internal challenge platform focused on engagement, connectivity, and friendly competition while enhancing Team Members' well-being.

The business wanted to make the platform grow steadily by adding further services, and the first phase was to understand the users and redesign the experience.
👩💻 My role
My role was a facilitator and took care of the usability test mainly. To better understand the user desire and meet the unmet needs, we conducted a 5-day design sprint, a unique process for answering crucial product questions through collaboration, prototyping, and testing ideas with users.
